Heading into the draft the Bombers thought they lacked younger options for tall defenders and Brandon Zerk-Thatcher fitted the bill.
At pick No.66, the Bombers selected the 195cm defender, who established himself in Sturt’s reserves side last year and also played for South Australia at the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships.
Zerk-Thatcher has played as a ruckman has an impressive leap that saw him record a 95cm running vertical jump in testing.
