Prior to his recruitment, Hartley spent 2 years on Collingwood’s Rookie list. Hartley has become a mainstay in defence for the Bombers since his debut as a mature-age recruit in 2016.
The key defender played 18 senior games last year, leading the side for disposal efficiency (an impressive 86%) and finishing fourth in the league for one-percenters per game.
Hartley also broke the club record for most one-percenters in a single game and a single season in 2016, so is sure to be relied on to stamp out plenty of opposition attacks again this year.
