The grandson of former Swans Max Papley and Jeff Bray was a revelation last year, bursting onto the scene with a three-goal debut in Round 1 against Collingwood.
He continued that form for most of his 20 games to finish second in the Club’s goal kicking behind Lance Franklin after booting 29 goals, including nine in four finals.
Papley’s energy and tackling pressure inspired the team at ground level, which is the reason he was drafted as a rookie in 2015. Now a regular part of the senior list, the 20-year-old again will be an important part of John Longmire’s structure.
